Shahidul Alam is an internationally acclaimed public speaker, photographer, writer, curator, and human rights activist with decades of experience as both a practitioner and trainer in the media world. In 2018, Shahidul was named Time Magazine Person of the Year for his fearless commitment to truth and human rights through photography and storytelling. His work has taken him to over 65 countries across all continents, making him one of the most influential voices in global media. A visionary in the digital landscape, Shahidul introduced email to Bangladesh in the early 1990s and developed the first webzine and portal, pioneering the digital media movement in the country. He is also the Managing Director of a leading media organisation and serves as the Principal of a world-class media training institute, mentoring the next generation of media professionals.
