What is LassWho?

LassWho is a new digital platform where Fans can connect, engage and interact with their Heroes for live video-chats.

What does LassWho mean?

LassWho comes from the word ‘Lasso’ referring to the noose of rope that is thrown around a target. ‘Lassoing’ someone with LassWho means searching for your Hero and booking them for a LassWho event.

Who are Fans?

Fans are most of us in the world who follow, aspire, respect those that have reached the top. LassWho provides the ultimate digital experience that enables Fans to connect with their Heroes for live video-chats.

Who are Heroes?

Heroes are ordinary people who have achieved or are still achieving extraordinary things. The amazing thing about Heroes is that when you meet them they are usually ordinary people. LassWho? now provides the opportunity to facilitate the ultimate Fan to Hero connection via live video-chats.

How do I find LassWho?

LassWho has both a Website and an App. The LassWho Website can be accessed at www.lasswho.com. The LassWho App can be downloaded from the App Store (iOS) and Google Play (Android). All search and booking functionality is facilitated via either the Website or App. The Website allows you to search and view the Heroes without having to register an account.

How does LassWho work?

The LassWho App and Website have five (5) easy steps that enables a Fan to search, identify and book a Hero speaker for a live video-chat. The five (5) steps are:

What age do I need to be to book, host or participate in a LassWho event?

You must be above the age of 18 and able to form a legally binding contract to be eligible to book and host a Video Chat event on LassWho. If you are under the age of 18 then you may participate in a LassWho event but only strictly in the company of a parent or guardian. LassWho accepts no responsibility for monitoring the participation of those people that are guests of the host.

How do I update my profile?

Fans: You can update your profile through account settings.

Heroes: You can update your profile through the Speaker Dashboard, which you will get access to after setting up your profile at onboarding.

Can my Agent / Manager register my profile and manage bookings?

Yes, LassWho has an Agent mode so they can register Hero speakers they manage under their profile. This enables them to control all bookings, calendar settings, speaker commission payments and other associated features and by doing so ensures they have complete control and oversight of your profile. We have made it simple so it is easy and flexible to use. The Agent mode allows your Agent to update your profile for any changes that may be required over time.

Why use LassWho?

For the first time LassWho gives you live access to your Hero speaker. You have the ability to search, identify and book your speaker within minutes. You can even set the agenda so your Hero speaker knows what you are keen to talk about. For the FAN – LassWho gives you the control and flexibility to tailor the event as you wish, enabling you to get that real life experience you have always dreamed about. For the HERO – LassWho provides the flexibility to decide who and when you speak to on your own terms through your Rules of Engagement. Best of all for both parties, LassWho is simple and secure to use.

What are the Rules of Engagement?

The Rules of Engagement are set and confirmed by the Hero upon registration with LassWho and include what is acceptable and not acceptable to talk about during the LassWho event. If the Rules of Engagement are breached during an event then the Terms and Conditions enable the Hero to issue a warning to the audience to refrain from discussing certain subjects with a second notification being a termination notice to end the call. We hope all users respect the Rules of Engagement of our Heroes and understand that some things are just off limits for discussion.

Is there a Code of Conduct?

Yes. The Code of Conduct is important as it explains what behaviour, including dress standards, is acceptable. Any behaviour that is disrespectable, derogatory, racist, discriminatory or breaches of the high standards of LassWho will not be tolerated. Contravention of the Code of Conduct may result in your suspension or termination from the LassWho platform and any unlawful behaviour may be reported to the relevant authorities for further action.

What do you do with information collected about me?

We only collect information about you where there is a lawful and legitimate purpose. We will only retain your personal data for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, regulatory or other requirements of the authorities. You agree that all information provided is done so at your own discretion and that you are not obligated to use the Services or Platform or provide any information. SEARCHING

How do I Search for a Hero?

It is easy to Search for your Hero. Simply open the App, select your category (e.g. Sport, Cricket) and then search for your Hero or filter via the Country and Team they have played for in their career.

What are the Levels and Booking Event Types?

Levels – LassWho has 9 Hero Speaker Levels and each Hero chooses what Level they wish to be displayed at on the Platform.

Booking Event Types – Fans can choose any of the following event types that are available (depending on what experience you are after):

1 – Individuals & Friends (1 to 4 people)

2 – Small Groups (5 to 20 people)

3 – Large Groups (20+ people)

4 – Corporates & Events (unlimited)

Hero: Who decides on what Level (rate) the Hero Speaker is?

The Hero decides on what Level (rate) they want to be classified and this can be changed any time ‘up or down’ by the Hero speaker. Please note, any calls already booked at a specific rate will be honoured by the Hero speaker.

What KYC verification is performed on the Hero Speakers?

LassWho checks all Hero Speakers who sign up via the platform to ensure they are legitimate and the real deal.

What if my Hero is not on LassWho?

Please contact us via our Contact Us page and let us know whom you would like to speak to and we will do our best to meet your wishes. LassWho is always offering the opportunity for more heroes to join us!

What KYC verification is performed on the Fan?

Fans are not KYC verified when they download the App or Website and setup their profile. However, Fans may be KYC verified by our customer service and talent onboarding team during the payment process.

BOOKING

Do I need a LassWho account and profile to book a Hero?

Yes, you need to be real person or entity and have a LassWho profile to book a Hero on LassWho. You are required to register with LassWho through the Platform (Website or App) to use the services. Through the registration and log in process, you will be asked to provide information about yourself (such as name, address, email address and other contact details) as well as other basic information.

How do I book a Hero?

You can either register via our website or you can download the App via the App Store or Google Play and then follow the five (5) easy steps to book your Hero for a live video-chat.

How much does it cost to book a Hero?

It depends on what level they have set themselves at. Heroes can set themselves at a pricing from Level 1 to 9.

When will I be charged for the transaction?

When you book the LassWho event your card will be authorised and payment will be taken when the booking is confirmed by the Hero Speaker.

Are there any taxes (e.g. like VAT or GST) and what happens with these?

Yes, there may be taxes included in the cost of the Hero speaker depending on the taxation laws of particular countries. The price you pay at the checkout will include any additional taxes. LassWho may be responsible for collecting these taxes and remitting them to the respective tax authority.

What if I need to cancel my booking?

Refer to our Terms and Conditions for our Refund Policy. Generally, an administration charge applies and the closer you cancel to the LassWho event the less your refund.

What happens once I have sent my request to my Hero?

Your Hero will receive your request and then they will need to accept or decline.

Accepted – The Fan will receive an email confirming the LassWho event was accepted and dial in details for the video-chat will be provided in due course.

Declined – The Fan will receive an email informing the LassWho event was declined.

Can I tell my Hero what I want to talk about?

Yes, this is covered in the ‘Setting Agenda’ section.

How many people can attend a LassWho event?

This depends on the type of video chat that is booked by the Fan –

1 – Individuals & Friends (1 to 4 people)
2 – Small Groups (5 to 20 people)
3 – Large Groups (20+ people)
4 – Corporates & Events (unlimited)

SETTING AGENDA

What is ‘Setting Agenda’?

Setting Agenda refers to the subject matter that the Fan is keen to chat about and the Hero agrees to prior to the video-chat.

Who sets the agenda?

The Fan sets the agenda during the booking process. The Hero receives the agenda and confirms their agreement with it by accepting the video call request.

What subjects can be discussed?

HOSTING A LASSWHO?

Is the LassWho event recorded?

Yes, LassWho records the event by video and holds the video for 28 days for dispute resolution purposes.

Hero: Can I record the event?

There is no explicit requirement for you to record the LassWho event. However, if you wish to record it for evidence purposes then you must ensure you adhere to any data protection requirements in terms of erasure of recordings where there is no lawful or legitimate purpose to hold them.

Fan: Can I record the event?

You explicitly do not have permission to record the LassWho video-chat nor do you have any right to share recorded content on social media. Please refer to the Terms of Use for clarification on what is permitted and non-permitted for a LassWho event. Any breaches of the Terms of Use will be considered a violation and may be pursued by LassWho and / or the Hero Speaker.

What if the Fan talks about a subject matter not in the agenda or outside the boundaries of the Rules of Engagement?

When booking a video-chat with a Hero, the Fan agrees to participate in the Video Chat in accordance with the Rules of Engagement and agenda that is set and confirmed prior to the LassWho event. As a Host, you are also fully responsible and liable for the actions of Participants on your Video Chats as if they were your own actions and as if the Participants were party to the Terms and Conditions. Where the agenda or Rules of Engagement are breached then the Hero may issue an initial Warning Notice to the Fan and Participants. If there are further breaches, then the Hero may issue a Termination Notice which will result in forfeiture of any time remaining on the call. At the discretion of LassWho, this behaviour may result in the Host having access to the platform withdrawn and depending on the nature of the breach may be reported to the relevant authorities.

How is the LassWho video-chat hosted?

The LassWho video-chat is hosted using a video conference provider. The Fan agrees to and must comply with any third-party applicable terms and privacy policies. It is the responsibility of Host and the Hero to ensure they have a good internet connection.

What if my Hero doesn’t turn up for the LassWho event?

The call may be rescheduled to another time or you will be offered a refund.

Can I raise a dispute?

Fans and Heroes are required to work directly together regarding any disputes, issues or disagreements related to their agreement and Video Chats. LassWho has no responsibility to mediate any disagreement but may wish to do so at their discretion. LassWho may, but is not obligated to, forward to a Fan or a Hero any complaints or concerns it receives. Users must raise and submit a dispute within 24 hours of the End Time via the Platform and if Users do not raise or submit a dispute within this timeframe, the dispute shall be deemed barred and shall be treated as invalid.

RATING A LASSWHO?

Is there a rating system?

Yes, LassWho has a two-way self-regulating rating system whereby Heroes rate their experience with Fans and vice versa. Ratings are optional but are strongly encouraged to ensure the LassWho community generates feedback which in turn helps to self-regulate and govern the LassWho experience.

How does the rating system work?

The rating system is a 5-star scale with 5 being the highest rating a Hero or Fan can receive. There is also the ability to leave a free text comment alongside the rating.

SOCIAL MEDIA

How can I promote myself (Hero) on LassWho?

You can promote yourself via your social media pages by sharing posts that LassWho creates and shares. This will ensure your fans and followers have visibility and knowledge that you are on LassWho and available for video-chat bookings.

Is LassWho on social media?

Yes, LassWho has numerous social media accounts, including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok and YouTube.

What does LassWho put on social media?

LassWho promotes the App and platform via our social media pages by keeping fans and followers up to date with engaging content and news about new talent on LassWho and events and information that may be of interest to our followers.
