Ryan Julius is a South African hockey player currently representing Almeerse HC in the Netherlands. Ryan represents his country, South Africa, in both indoor and outdoor hockey and has competed in many major competitions. In 2020, Ryan was chosen to be part of the 2020 Summer Olympics squad. In 2017, Ryan won gold medals at the Africa Indoor Cup and the field hockey Africa Cup of Nations. Ryan has also competed in the Hockey World League, Commonwealth Games and also the Hockey World Series. Ryan has also been a first-team coach for Bishops Diocesan College which required immense amounts of planning, constantly engaging with people and creating a competitive yet healthy environment to succeed and stirring the passion for the game within the players.
