Rome Kirby

BIO

Rome Kirby is an American Professional Sailor who has competed in the Volvo Ocean Race and multiple Americas Cups. Rome has established himself as one of the best sailors of his generation. Rome was an alternate for Puma Racing, supporting Il Mostro during the 2008–09 Volvo Ocean Race. Rome sailed with Puma Racing on Mar Mostro during the 2011–12 Volvo Ocean Race and was the youngest sailor in the six-boat fleet. Rome joined Oracle Racing and was the youngest member of Oracle Team USA, winning the 34th America’s Cup in 2013. Rome Kirby became the Captain of Team USA for SailGP in 2019.
