Rae Anderson PLY

BIO

Rae Anderson is an Australian Paralympic athlete and footballer. Rae is the 7th dual Summer and Winter Paralympian from Australia. Rae made history by becoming the 2nd female to accomplish this feat and a few months later followed this achievement by placing runners up with the inaugural Australian Para Matildas team at the Football World Cup. At the 2014 Commonwealth Games, Rae made her international debut in the long jump being the youngest on the athletics team before turning her attention to throwing. Rae placed 5th at the 2016 Rio Paralympics before being offered a scholarship to transition to Alpine Skiing, where she placed 7th in Slalom at the 2022 Beijing Winter Paralympics. Outside of sport, Rae is equally passionate about philanthropy and works for several non-for-profits. Rae dedicates her sporting experiences to helping and motivating others, starting at the Westmead Childrens Hospital, where she had three major operations and underwent years of rehabilitation.
