Olia Burtaev is a former artistic swimmer who represented Australia at the highest level, competing at the London 2012 Olympic Games. Olia started out her career as a high performance athlete at the age of 14 year old when she was selected for the Australian National Team for Synchronized Swimming. With a background in Classical Ballet and Rhythmic Gymnastics, she went on to compete internationally for Australia at FINA World Cups, World Championships as well as the London Olympic Games. Olia is the owner of The Modern Body, a training platform that mixes cardio, ballet and toning exercises. With a background in high performance sport she possesses a wealth of knowledge on the health benefits of exercise for athletes which she uses to provide as part of performance development as well as for educational purposes in improving the quality of life. She uses her platform and experience to mentor young athletes throughout their sporting career focusing on their mental approach.
