BIO
Nicky Piper MBE is a former Super Middleweight and Light Heavyweight Boxer from Wales. Nicky became the WBA Intercontinental Light Heavyweight champion in 1993 and during the 90s had several world title fights against champions including Nigel Benn. Nicky became the Commonwealth Light Heavyweight champion in 1995. Nicky served as Chairman of the Professional Boxing Association and in 2005 he was awarded the MBE for his services to the sport. After retiring, Nicky became a sports commentator with Sky Sports and BBC Wales. Nicky also became a Member and Administrator with the British Boxing Council. Nicky is the Corporate Partnership Manager for The City Hospice Charity, which was formerly the George Thomas Hospice Care.
