Mikayla Hinkley

Mikayla Hinkley is an Indigenous Australian cricketer who plays for the Queensland Fire in the National Cricket League and the Brisbane Heat in the Big Bash League. Mikayla commenced her cricketing journey with the New South Wales Breakers, debuting in 2016, before transitioning to the Queensland squad for the 2019–20 WNCL season. In the WBBL, her skills have been displayed across various clubs, including the Sydney Thunder for two seasons, the Perth Scorchers, and the Hobart Hurricanes. Notably, she holds the distinction of being the first WBBL player to represent four clubs since its inception in 2015. With proud indigenous heritage, Mikayla Hinkley is an esteemed member of the Kunja people. Her dedication to cricket is illuminated by her selection in the inaugural female Indigenous Sydney Thunder team in November 2018.
