Les Burdett was born in Tasmania, Australia. When Les was 18 years old he started working at the Adelaide Oval. In 1978, Les was appointed head curator of the Adelaide Oval and held the position for 32 years. Les is considered one of the leading experts in cricket ground curation in the world.
