Jono Ross

BIO

Jono Ross is a professional rugby player for the English Premiership side, the Sale Sharks. Jono was born in South Africa and made his senior debut for the Blue Bulls in 2011 before becoming an established member of the squad the following season. In 2013, Jono was named captain and would become the first-ever English speaking captain of the team. Before moving to the Sale Sharks in 2017, Jono played 3 seasons with Stade Français in the top division of French rugby. In 2018, the Sale Sharks named Jono as their captain which he has retained ever since and has gone on to make over 100 appearances. In 2020, Jono led the Sale Sharks to their first piece of silverware since 2006 as they won the Premiership Cup Final, beating Harlequins 27-19.
