BIO
George Muir is an international hockey player for New Zealand and made his Olympic debut in Tokyo in 2020. In 2013, George made his first New Zealand appearance in a victory against Korea and has gone on to have a very successful international career with over 140 appearances for the Black Sticks. In 2018, George and his teammates won a silver medal at the 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games. George has won a total of 5 major competition medals with a further 3 silver medals being won at the Oceania Cup in 2015, 2017 and 2019 as well as a gold medal in the 2015 Sultan of Azlan Shah Cup. Outside of hockey, George is also a Lawyer in New Zealand.
