George Friend is an English Professional Footballer who plays as a defender for EFL Championship club Birmingham City and has made over 400 career appearances. George has previously played in the Premier League with Middlesbrough. In 2020 George named in the Championship team of the decade at left back. George won Middlesbrough Player of the Season award in 2012-13 season. The following season, George won the accolade again along with the Player of the Season award. George was named in the PFA Championship Team of the Year two years running, in the 2014–15 season, where he helped Middlesbrough reach the play-off final, and the 2015–16 season, where he was part of the Middlesbrough team that won promotion to the Premier League.
