Dr Mark McMillan is a respected Wiradjuri gibir (man) and Indigenous community member with a passion for empowering Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. As the owner and director of several Aboriginal-owned businesses, including Australian Patrol Vehicles, Australian Expedition Vehicles, Uncle Charlie's Tastes of Country, and Bundyi Girri Consulting, he is dedicated to Indigenous entrepreneurship and self-determination. With extensive experience in public administration and governance in Higher Education, Mark brings his leadership and management skills to the private sector. He joined the faculty of Melbourne Law School in 2011 and made history as the first Indigenous person appointed as a senior lecturer at the University of Melbourne Law School. Recognised as the National NAIDOC Scholar of the Year in 2013, his research interests revolve around human rights, particularly the expression and fulfilment of these rights for Indigenous Australians.
