David Moffett

David Moffett is a leading authority on International Sports Administration and Management having been the CEO and Head of Sport England, New Zealand Rugby Union, Australian National Rugby League (NRL) and the Welsh Rugby Union. David was the first non-New Zealander to hold the role as CEO of New Zealand Rugby Union when he was appointed in 1996. In 2003, David took up the role as CEO of Wales Rugby Union and he held this role until 2006. Under his management, David took Wales Rugby Union from a £3.7 million loss to £3.6 million profit in 12 months He was also responsible for reducing the debt from stg72 million to stg48 million through negotiations with Barclays and BT. David now runs a business consultancy firm working with a wide cross section of businesses in New Zealand, Australia and the United Kingdom.
