Craig Foster

BIO

Craig Foster is a former Australian footballer who captained the Socceroos during his career. After retiring from football, Craig has had a highly successful career as a sports broadcaster with SBS in Australia. Craig is also a passionate human rights campaigner and a well-known advocate and voice for social justice, human rights and equality. Craig is a member of the Australian Multicultural Council and works across a range of social programs, including indigenous rights and self-determination, homelessness and domestic violence, climate action, gender equality,and refugee advocacy. Craigh has won numerous awards and accolades, including the 2020 NSW Government Humanitarian Award, the 2020 Australian Muslim Council Abyssinian Medal and membership in the Order of Australia. In 2021, Craig worked with the Australian government to secure the safety of Afghan refugees, including the evacuation of nearly one hundred female Afghans from Kabul.
