Alex Winwood is an Indigenous Australian Olympian, a world-ranked Professional Boxer and proud Noongar man who is currently ranked 8th by both the WBC and WBO and 9th by the WBA. Known for his tactical skill and unwavering commitment to excellence, Alex holds the title of WBC International Light and Strawweight Champion. His career journey is one of resilience, discipline, and the relentless pursuit of greatness. Representing Australia on the world stage, Alex competed at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and the 2022 Commonwealth Games. Notably, he is the first Indigenous athlete on the Olympic Athletes Advisory Committee, where he works to amplify Indigenous athletes voices and foster inclusivity in sports. Alex’s mission extends beyond his accomplishments in the ring; he aims to serve as a role model, embodying perseverance, respect, and dedication for youth and his community.
